Cloning is defined as different processes for duplicateing biological material. There are three types of cloning and they are recombinant DNA technology or DNA cloning, reproductive cloning, and therapeutic cloning.

Dolly the sheep was the first successful cloned mammal. She was raised by Scottish scientists at the Roslin Institute. Dolly was lived for six years (97-03). In 2003, Dolly died from a lethal injection. This was used because of Dolly's battle with lung cancer and arthiritis. She left behind six lambs.
